GameSim Arena is a GameSim+ feature that turns historical player cards, weekly matchups, and daily sim results into a full league experience — with standings, packs, and achievements to chase from opening day to the final buzzer.

Instead of simming one game at a time, you build a roster, get a real schedule, and compete against other GameSim Arena managers in a growing league with 30+ teams already in the mix. Every matchup uses the same trusted MyGameSim NBA engine you already know.

What Is GameSim Arena?

GameSim Arena is a persistent season league built around player cards. Each card is a real NBA player from a specific team and season in our database — not a generic rating, but actual statistical DNA you can sim.

When you join as a GameSim+ subscriber, you receive a starter roster and an arena team. From there, you set your active lineup, play games on a calendar tied to the real NBA schedule, and work your way up the standings while opening packs to deepen your bench.

How It Works

  1. Build your roster — Start with a full lineup of historical NBA player cards. Choose up to 10 active players for daily games; keep extras on the bench for matchup flexibility.
  2. Follow your schedule — Each week brings new opponents. Arena games are scheduled on days when the NBA has games, so the league rhythm matches the real season.
  3. Games sim daily — Matchups run automatically around 4:00 PM ET. Check your schedule page for results, scores, and wins and losses.
  4. Open card packs — Earn weekly packs and buy more anytime. Each standard pack adds three new player cards to your collection.
  5. Track the standings — Wins, losses, ties, points, and point differential all matter. Filter standings by all-time, the last 30 days, or the last 7 days to see who’s hot right now.

The heart of GameSim Arena is the roster. You’re not picking modern teams off a dropdown — you’re curating a squad of legends and role players from across NBA history. Mix a prime scoring season with a defensive anchor from another era and see how the sim plays out night after night.

Because cards map to real stat lines in our database, outcomes feel grounded in basketball logic: pace, shooting, rebounding, and matchups all flow through the same simulation core that powers MyGameSim’s NBA tools.

Card Packs and Weekly Rewards

Roster building doesn’t stop after day one. Card packs are how you discover new talent and keep your bench competitive.

  • Weekly packs — Subscribers receive free packs every Sunday (more for Gold and Platinum members).
  • Packs for purchase — Need a boost mid-season? Buy additional standard packs anytime from the Manage page.
  • Reveal and activate — Open packs to reveal players one at a time, then slot them into your active lineup or stash them for later.

Gold and Platinum GameSim+ members also receive discounted pack pricing, so upgrading your subscription pays off if you plan to open packs regularly.

Standings, Schedules, and Bragging Rights

Every manager gets a dedicated Schedule page with upcoming and completed games — who you played, the score, and whether you earned a W or an L. The Standings table ranks the full league by points (three for a win, one for a tie), with win percentage and point differential as tiebreakers.

Achievements

GameSim Arena includes its own set of achievements — first win, win streaks, games played, packs opened, roster milestones, and more. They’re a fun way to mark progress beyond the W–L column and show up alongside your other GameSim+ accomplishments.

Who Can Play?

GameSim Arena requires an active GameSim+ subscription. Anyone can read about the feature and browse public-facing pages, but building a roster, playing games, and opening packs are subscriber benefits — the same membership that unlocks premium simulation tools across MyGameSim.

New subscribers are onboarded automatically when they sign in: your arena team and starter cards are ready so you can jump into the league without a long setup process.
